Group Recent Company News Presentation
Each group will be assigned a publicly-traded company not otherwise assigned for an individual project, and will make 15-20 minute presentation focusing recent analysis of the news contained in its earnings reports (last available 2 quarters). The presentation must contain the discussion of the following:
- Recent earnings news and impact of recent geopolitical events (e.g. COVID 19, Ukraine/Russia War, Chinese Economy) on the company;
- This discussion must focus on the information contained in the company earnings releases, forms 10-Q and conference calls transcripts. Specifically, it must discuss the concerns raised by analysts in the conference calls and how the company representatives have addressed them.
- Short business analysis placing this business news in a broader context using SWOT framework and Porter’s five forces.
