Please answer the following questions regarding your business report. These initial ideas may change as you begin drafting your report but this is meant to clarify your ideas before you begin research and writing (much like the PACS process).
- A Company/Organization you will focus on. Briefly describe the company/org.
- A specific problem or opportunity within the company/org you are interested in addressing.
- Your report will be written for the leadership team of the company but list any additional groups who will also be reading your report (such as the marketing director and team).
- Brief outline what type of research you will conduct and how (see examples below).
- Primary Research: What type of primary research will you conduct? How? When?
- Example:
- Topic: Low social media engagement on company social channels (a problem)
- What type of research? 10 question survey for 20 target clients of XYZ Company.
- How? Distribute a digital survey (Google Form) via email to the 20 target clients.
- When? Send April 18, 2022 with a deadline of April 22, 2022.

- Secondary: Which topics will you research in reference to the problem or opportunity?
- Example:
- Topic: XYZ sports bar/restaurant to introduce vegan items on the menu (an opportunity)
- Topics for article research: Growth of vegan consumers; Current vegan fast food options; Demographics and diet preference ; Plant based meat in fast food restaurants
